To intensify NITA’s outreach activities and to showcase our services and products to clients and the public at large, NITA organized to exhibit at the Central Rift A.S.K show in Nakuru.

In line with the theme ‘Enhancing Technology In Agriculture And Industry For Food Security And National Growth’ , exhibitors from all over the country showcased a rich selection of exhibits representing all sectors of the economy with NITA being in the frontline through enhanced industrial training.

Participating for the first time, National Industrial Training Authority started on an impressive footing by winning the best overall trophy for the ‘Best Middle Level Education Institution Stand, as well as emerging 8th position in The Best Stand in Youth Activities, Empowerment and Capacity Building category. This year’s show opened its gates to the public from July 4th to July 9th 2016 after the A.S.K management adjusting the proposed dates of 6th to 10th July 2016. The show was held at the ASK Nakuru Showground.

The participation of NITA in the Nakuru Show is in line with the expansion efforts of awareness and educational programmes by the Authority and public participation. By holding this exhibition the Authority saw it as a milestone in enhancing its corporate image and reaching to the public in the Nakuru region which is now home of one of the biggest Authority’s Levy Office.

The ASK Shows remain very critical forums for creating public awareness through on-ground interaction with various stakeholders on diverse Industrial Training programmes. The large number of participants who visited the NITA stand provided an opportunity as well as a cost-effective way of disseminating and gathering information on NITA’s mandate to the public. Today the Authority can boast of having expanded its participation in ASK Shows across cities and major towns in the country i.e. Kisumu, Eldoret, Kitale, Mombasa, Nyeri and Nairobi.

The NITA stand stood out in an exceptional way and had a good representation from various department of the authority led by the Public Relations office.

The show was officially opened on Friday 8th July 2016, by Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mr. James Bett, who also awarded the trophy to NITA Nakuru Region Levy Inspector, Mr. James Nyang’ao.
