The event was attended by among other guests, Mr. Stephen Ogenga, Director, Industrial Training NITA, Miss Rael Rotich Ag. Director General, NEA, Stakeholders as well as Trainers
While officiating the event, Miss Rotich remarked that the preparation of migrant workers prior to departure is critical in assisting them in acquainting themselves to the new environment in host country.
Speaking on behalf of the Director General, Mr. Stephen Ogenga counseled the stakeholders, the trainers and the employers to work together to ensure effective implementation of this Curriculum, which will lead to achieving great improvements in the quality of training of personnel engaged in the sector
The Authority’s mandate is to promote the highest standards in the quality and efficiency on Industrial Training and adequate supply of properly trained manpower, therefore the development of this Curriculum is aimed at creating a productive, highly skilled and healthy workforce with practical knowledge and skills in Home Care Management
Once the validation process is completed and the course approved. NITA in conjunction with approved training institutions will issue the certificates with result slips for modules passed and award a Proficiency Certificate in Home Care Management.
The purpose of the course is to equip the trainee with knowledge, skills and attitudes that will enable him/her understand and effectively carry out the operations of home care management in private households, children homes, hospital, hostels and boarding institutions both locally and abroad.
