The Association for the Physically Disabled of Kenya (APDK) in partnership with CBM and other consortium members is implementing a three-year DFID funded project ‘Innovation to Inclusion’ (i2i) whose main goal is to promote access to and opportunities for apprenticeship, internship and employment of persons with disabilities in Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu.

Sector Training Committees (STC’s) are functional committees, constituted by the NITA Board (NITB), under the Industrial Training Act, Cap 237, to oversee the up skilling of workers in a specific sector.

H.E. Alison Chartres, Australian High Commissioner to Kenya on 12th June 2020 flagged off contactless hand washing stations and face masks in the continuing mitigation measures against the COVID-19 pandemic.

On 18th June 2020 NITA Kisumu played host to the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, Hon. Simon K. Chelugui accompanied by a team from the Ministry. This would mark the Cabinet Secretary’s inaugural visit to the Centre as he seeks to familiarize himself with various State Agencies under his Ministry.
