25 Girls Secure Full NITA Sponsorships to Study Engineering

Twenty-five girls from needy backgrounds have secured full sponsorship to pursue engineering courses in various technical institutions across the country, courtesy of NITA’s Female Engineering Program (FEP).
FEP is NITA’s flagship Corporate Social Investment initiative that admits 25 girls annually from marginalized counties, aiming to bridge the gender gap in engineering practice within Kenya’s industries.
This year’s cohort marks the 17th intake since the program’s inception in 2006, bringing the total beneficiaries to over 400.
On Tuesday, the Authority, through the Department of Corporate Communications, distributed school items and essential materials to the beneficiaries in preparation for their admission this week.
Looking ahead, NITA is keen to collaborate with partners to scale up the program nationwide, ensuring girls from all counties benefit, while also supporting graduates in securing meaningful employment opportunities after completing their studies.
