Ms. Theresa Wasike is a seasoned public administrator with over 25 years of progressive experience in public service. She currently serves as the Acting Director General of the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA), where she provides overall strategic leadership and oversight of the Authority’s operations, including finance, administration, and program implementation.
She holds a Master of Arts degree in International Relations from Kiev State University and has built a distinguished career across several key government ministries. Her expertise spans policy formulation, institutional coordination, and administrative leadership.
Her career in government has seen her serve in several key ministries, gaining extensive expertise in public administration, policy coordination, and institutional development. She has worked with the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, specifically within the Department for Skills Development, where she contributed to national workforce policy and training strategies. She has also served in the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation, and in Field Administration under the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government.
Her leadership at NITA is focused on steering the Authority toward excellence in regulating and promoting industrial training, enhancing workforce readiness, and aligning skills development with national and global labour market demands.
