NITA Clinches Top Honors at Meru National Show for Championing Youth Empowerment and Skills Development

The National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) has emerged victorious at the Meru National Show 2025, securing 1st position in the highly competitive category of Youth Activities, Empowerment, and Capacity Building.
The prestigious event, held at Gitoro Showground, brought together top institutions and innovators under the theme “Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiative for Sustainable Economic Growth.”
NITA's exhibition stand stood out for its dynamic, interactive displays and engaging conversations on how practical skills can fuel industrial growth, support green technologies, and promote self-reliance — especially among youth, artisans, and small enterprises.
The Authority’s presence powerfully echoed its mandate to equip Kenyans with skills that are not only relevant but also resilient in today’s rapidly evolving economy.
In addition to the top award, NITA also bagged 2nd Place in Best Stand that Interpreted the Show Theme (Education and/or Research) and 2nd Place in Best Tertiary Level Education Institution Stand (Other than University).
The trophy was received on behalf of NITA by Ag. Manager Resource Mobilization and Enterprise Development Ms. Kabale Buda.
