NITA Explores Collaboration on RPL and Apprenticeship Training for the Informal Sector

The National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) on Thursday hosted a delegation from the National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) and Mshauri, a youth mentorship organization, for a consultative meeting on potential collaboration in the implementation of the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and rolling out apprenticeship training programs for the informal sector.
Speaking during the meeting, Ag. Manager for Registration and Accreditation, Peter Njiru, noted that the partnerships will play a critical role in certifying skilled workers who lack formal qualifications, thereby enhancing their employability and career advancement. He further emphasized that the collaboration will help strengthen hands-on skills development, particularly among youth and workers in the informal sector.
